Our mission at Dreamz in Motion Dance & Performance Center is to provide students of all levels with more than just dance classes, but a unique experience in which the student can grow both mentally and physically as a dancer. Our highly trained and certified instructors have a wealth of experience in teaching and performing various styles and disciplines.Here at Dreamz in Motion Dance & Performance Center, we have a passion for the art of dance and for helping others discover their inner dancer.
Abby grew up dancing in the area and attended numerous competitions and conventions to further her education. She received the highest level of achievements at these events and was recognized on numerous occasions for her performance and technique.
Kara began dancing at the age of 3 and danced through college. She competed through middle school and joined the UMaine Dance Team in college, dancing at the football and basketball games. After her daughter was born and ready for dance classes of her own, Kara got back into dancing, mostly focused on tap, lyrical, and jazz. Over the past years, she has also been an instructor in taekwondo and gymnastics, having taught kids for almost 20 years.
Kyla began her career as a dance instructor in Springfield. In 2009 she started Stardancer Studios in Newport, NH. After starting her family and establishing her roots she has decided to keep the legacy alive in Springfield, VT, the community that has supported and encouraged her from the beginning. Kyla has over 20 years of dance instruction experience. She has choreographed numerous local shows and music videos. She has led numerous competition teams to various levels of success and trained ALL levels of dancers in Ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and so much more.
Brittany loves being a part of the Dreamz in Motion team! Brittany started dancing late in her life at age fifteen at her aunt’s studio in Riverton, Utah. Once she started dancing, you couldn’t get her out of the studio! She was invited to a summer intensive for modern dance at Brigham Young University (BYU) her junior year of high school. She attended Utah Valley University for Modern Dance Education and had many opportunities to choreograph student pieces and teach summer intensives. She has ten plus years of teaching dance experience from all ages.
Amanda began her career as a dancer at the age of 4 in Wellesley, MA. She took classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and modern until her early 20’s. Her passion for dance and working with individuals with disabilities led her to major in therapeutic recreation at the University of New Hampshire. Amanda is currently employed full time by a local school district as a recreational therapist. She kept her foot in the dance world over the years by working for a competition and convention company traveling across New England. Amanda is excited to get back into the studio to nurture the next generation of dancers in a fun and structured environment.
Lily, Norah, and Ella are three of our senior competition team dancers. They also share their love of dance with students in classes of their own.
Abby began her dance career at the age 9 in Gorham, Maine and competed across New England. She is passionate about hip hop and jazz! While attending college she created the Husson Dance Club and Team. Now she is sharing the love of dance with her daughter and excited to teach others!
Sierra has been active in dance and gymnastics since the age of 3. She started competing at 9 years old and spent countless hours, traveled hundreds of miles, and received several awards in different categories. She has years of knowledge in Jazz, Modern, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Acrobatic Gymnastics, and Tumbling.
Sierra started teaching at her childhood dance studio at the age of 12 until graduating high school and attending college. She is currently employed at a local family practice as an x-ray tech and pediatric coordinator. She has always enjoyed spending time and working with children of all ages!
Other than dance Sierra spends her time working with her husband for their company, building race cars, and singing karaoke.
He has been dancing for 12 years and is a lover of Freestyle Hip Hop. Cody has no formal training but doesn't let that stop him. During college he danced every year with the Dance Club and college Company. He has choreographed and taught many dances over the years and looks forward to bringing his experience and upbeat attitude to Dreamz. When he isn't dancing Cody spends his time working in the forests of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts as an Invasive Plant Specialist.
